URGENT RESCUE ALERT
At 4:00 AM today, May 14, 2024, one stranded sea turtle was rescued from the Newlok area, owned by Mr. Jumbo Salutan. Thanks to the swift actions of Mr. Robert Roy Nebre and Jr. Mascarinas, the turtle, identified with the tag name “HERI 524” engraved on its left shell, was safely taken from harm’s way.
HERI 524 has been handed over to the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) and the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) for further care and evaluation. The office of the Municipal Mayor Eugeniano Ibarra has been promptly informed about this rescue operation.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Mr. Nebre and Mr. Mascarinas for their rapid response and dedication to marine conservation.
After careful assessment, HERI 524 was released near the Clarin Sanctuary, where it can thrive in its natural habitat. Let’s continue to work together to protect and preserve our marine life. Every action counts!
